Fire Flipbook

This hand drawn flipbook was an opportunity to try out a different way of creating an effect.

The gifs below show the process from outline block outs of the form, to solid colour, to adding internal forms, refining at each step.

I followed this tutorial, and it was created in Procreate.

  • First pass block out using the bubble method described in the tutorial
  • Refining the blocked out shapes and starting to fill them in
  • Add in a second colour to add detail and form to the fire
  • Clean up the shapes and final polish

Indecisive Duck

This game was created for the Global Game Jam 2022. The game is about picking outfits to match how the duck is currently feeling. It was made as a team of four; I was the programmer, tech artist and VFX artist for the game.

I created the VFX for this scene based on this breakdown.
